In an effort to deal with unruly parents, the Heritage Square Family Entertainment Village in Golden, CO changed the focus of their annual Easter celebration. Instead of an Egg Hunt, they expanded the entertainment offerings. In addition to the traditional Easter Bunny (who distributed Easter eggs), entertainment included our solar powered tie dye Bubble Tower, strolling entertainment by Stretch the nine foot clown, Thirsty, a Giant Parade Puppet and a stilt walking party with dozens of old fashioned hand held wood stilts and bucket stilts for the entire family.
The weather was glorious, with warm, caressing breezes to waft the bubbles, and bright sunshine. Plenty of bubbles for everyone! Moms and Dads delighted in photographing their kids chasing the bubbles, with many a child hoisted on high to catch the bubble stream.
At one point virtually EVERYONE in the park surrounded the Bubble Tower with dozens of families encircling, chasing, and photographing the wafting bubbles with red rocks and pine trees framing the scene.
The Stilt Party proved to be an all ages attraction with kids and their parents enjoying the opportunity to learn the art of Walking Tall in a bucolic setting.
Thirsty the Giant Parade Puppet greeted new arrivals and Stretch the nine foot clown provided Free Ear Cleaning with his jumbo four foot Q-Tip. Other antics included “plate stalking” in the food court, and offering “cherry flavored Cod Liver Oil” as an ice cream topping and high energy sports drink!
Molly Kleeman provided balloon modeling, with outrageous success. Her line of fans stretch down the street, with Sammy the octopus balloon pet a popular request.
As we packed up for the evening, hundreds of additional celebrants enjoyed our bubble explosion as they made their way to the Red Rocks Church Easter celebration! We hope the joy and beauty of bubbles will become a new tradition of Easter celebration.
