This Fair has really grown since I was there last. Sustainable Living Fair

Besides bringing the solar powered Bubble Tower Sculpture, I also set up and demoed a MotorWind pinwheel wind turbine and used it to power a 12 volt Andromeda Plasma lamp. I ordered my turbine from Rich Susens at Secure Wind Energy in Wisconsin. Rich gave me excellent service, answered my questions, and provided speedy shipping.

In July we brought our solar powered Bubble Tower Sculpture for a nine day run at the ND State Fair, and experienced FOUR days of rain. Fortunately we were able to obtain an extension cord to recharge the battery. But even before then, I have wanted to explore a wind powered option for our Bubble Tower. This represents the first baby step in that endeavor.
Also, since the entire unit weighs only 11 pounds, it presents some other opportunities as well. So stay tuned!
