McNellie’s Holiday Parade of Lights

We had a great and windy time at the Tulsa parade.

And yes, I have already fixed the Light Bulb so it won’t come off! I guess that after over ten years of use, it was time for some maintenance! To keep my hands warm, I had been spinning the baton for at least a half hour while we waited, and it decides to come of in front of the camera! Nice save by the announcer on the spirit of cooperation.

I notice he didn’t mention our Menorah. We had brought it as our response to this year’s controversy over the parade name change – which actually happened LAST year, when the major sponsor pulled out after quite a number of years.

Maybe I’ll bring a Kwanzaa Kinara next year!

I was pretty excited about the new light design we were to showcase on two of our Giant Parade Puppets, it was way to windy to use the Puppets. Maybe next year.
