Here I’m showing off my new extra long pants and vest made for my four foot tall stilts. While very effective at driving off the pink elephants and West Nile Mosquitoes, I was soon surrounded by hoards of kids chasing the ribbon!
| Friday night at the Tree Lighting and Balloon Glow in Surprise, AZ, Jerry gave our new Penguin costume a workout, while Stretch took our squid gag for a stroll !Jerry had tons of kids rushing up to hug him and pet his beak! The squid not so much! ;>)
Many Thanks to Cory Gilstrap for the Penguin, and Katheryn and Carol for their hard work on Luigi’s Fresh Seafood! This was our fourth year entertaining at the annual Surprise Party, and I try extra hard to keep it fresh with something new every year. |
You never know what you are going to run into on the road. In New Mexico, we stopped to fight a small grass fire along side the road. We were the first to stop, but were soon joined by the pro’s. We dumped our 25 gallons of water on the fire, and were very happy when the first team showed up with a couple of small fire extinguishers. About the time we left, a better equipped truck was arriving. I was VERY glad that our truck was parked UPWIND from the heat and flames!
Contrails over Albuquerque were stunning. I took this through the windshield as passed through the I-25 and I-40 intersection.
I absolutely LOVE this ribbon! Very cool & very visual. Did you make it yourself? How long is it all together?
