On a cool windy day, the Cubs from Pack 115 were treated to a surprise Bubble Storm performance. Held in back of the elementary school, the wind swirled high and low, left to right, and even front to back! Bubbles blew every where, some of them corkscrewing up, up, and away from clutching hands!
Scouts are trained to “Be Prepared”, and that training was tested from the start. Originally planed as a mini Bubble Tower performance, with the FX bubble machine on a six foot tower, I moved the mini tower four times attempting to find the sweet spot behind the school. Some wind, but not too much wind was needed. No such luck! After a lot of testing, I finally set the bubble machine on top of it’s case, about a foot off the ground. From there the wind took the bubbles all over the play ground, followed by screaming kids!
Many thanks to Cub Scout Pack #115 for allowing me to be part of their programing. It was a very fun event ! Bubbles in Colorado Springs! Wheeee!
